Ontario.Company is a business consulting service for one specific moment: the months either side of starting a company in Ontario. We help founders choose a name, settle a simple brand, get a first website and Google presence live, and plan the first 90 days of marketing. We're Canadian, part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, with the group's headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Why this service exists
Most launch advice is either government guidance on paperwork or marketing advice written for companies that already have customers. The gap between them is where founders make their most expensive early mistakes: a name that can't be found online, a logo commissioned before anyone decided who the company is for, a website that took six months, or a first ad budget spent on clicks from the wrong side of the province.
We built Ontario.Company to sit in that gap. The government sources explain how to register; our work is about what the customer sees once you have. When the conversation reaches growing an established company, our sister site Ontario.Business picks it up.
Ali Sedighi, MBA
Ali Sedighi leads Ontario.Company. He holds an MBA in Technology Management and has more than 17 years of experience in digital marketing and business building, starting in 2007, when he founded ONE.ir, a full-service digital marketing agency. He now lives and works in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Since then he has founded Conv.ca, a conversion-rate optimisation agency, and MyAutomation.ca, and he is Founder and Managing Partner of SAZ.ca (Strategy & Acceleration Zone), a Canadian consulting firm for strategy, AI and revenue acceleration. He has worked with clients in Canada, the USA and Dubai, and has built more than 150 live websites for HVAC companies, including CombiBoiler.ca, GasBoilers.ca and HeatLand.
That HVAC portfolio matters here for a simple reason: many of those sites were new brands or new divisions that had to be named, positioned and launched from scratch. The lessons transfer well beyond heating, and you can read the details on our results page.
The group behind the brand
Sedighi.ca is the consulting company through which Ali runs his growth, marketing and technology work, and it is the home of brands such as HVAC.Agency, HVAC.Digital, Trades.Agency, BusinessConsulting.ca and Conv.ca. SAZ.ca provides strategy and acceleration consulting, with strategic leadership by Sedighi.ca. Ontario.Company draws on both: practical marketing execution from one side and structured strategy from the other.
Our parent consulting sites are Sedighi.ca and BusinessConsulting.ca, and the consulting rates you'll see on our pricing page follow BusinessConsulting.ca's published pricing.
How we work
A few principles shape every engagement:
- Order matters. We'll suggest doing name, brand, website and launch marketing in that sequence, and say so if an earlier step needs fixing before a later one is worth paying for.
- Numbers before tactics. Every launch plan starts with the value of a customer and what you can afford to pay to win one.
- Written down, in plain language. You get short documents you can reuse: a naming shortlist, a brand sheet, a launch plan.
- You own everything. Domains, hosting, profiles and content sit in your name.
- We stay in our lane. We're business and marketing consultants. Legal structure, trademarks, tax and bookkeeping go to lawyers, registered trademark agents and accountants, and Ontario's own guidance recommends consulting a lawyer or professional advisor before you incorporate.
- No invented promises. We never promise rankings, enquiries or sales, and we won't write claims about your company that you can't support.
What a first engagement usually looks like
Most founders start small. A typical first piece of work is a free half-hour conversation, followed by one or two paid sessions to review a name shortlist or a positioning sentence. If that goes well, some go on to a defined launch project; others take the notes and carry on alone, which is a perfectly good outcome. Either way, you'll know after the first conversation which stage to tackle next and roughly what it would cost to get help with it.
How to reach us
We work by call, text and email, video call or in person, Monday to Friday, 9 to 6 Pacific. There are no forms to fill in. Tell us what you're starting and where, and you'll hear back from a person. The contact page explains what to include, and the services page shows where we can help first.
Frequently asked questions
Who will I actually work with?
Ali Sedighi leads the work and reviews every recommendation. You won't be handed to an anonymous account team after the first call.
Why is a Vancouver-based group working with Ontario founders?
Naming, brand and launch planning are done through conversation, documents and online research, none of which depends on being in the same city. We check every recommendation against the search results, competitors and communities in your part of Ontario.
Are you a law firm or an accounting firm?
No. We're business and marketing consultants. We don't give legal, tax or accounting advice, and we'll tell you when a question needs one of those professionals.
What's the connection between Ontario.Company and Ontario.Business?
They're sister sites in the same group. Ontario.Company focuses on starting and launching; Ontario.Business focuses on growing an established company.
